What is it like?
We want all newcomers to feel welcome regardless of who they are or whether or not they've been to church before. From the moment you step in, you'll be greeted by the members of the church, but not in a scary way! Sunday service begins promptly as 10:00 AM with 15 or so minutes of praise time led by our worship team. We also have a time of offering where you may give as you feel led. After announcements and greetings, Pastor David usually gives a 25-minute sermon and the service concludes with a closing song.
Where do I park?
Those who drive, park on the street near the church. We don't have a parking lot but you can usually find parking within a one-block radius of the church.
What do I wear?
We want you to be comfortable. You can dress as casually or as formally as you want but generally speaking, our members dress casually.
How can I get connected?
If you'd like to see what its all about, please use the contact form and someone from our membership team will reach out to you, usually within 24 hours.
In addition to the traditional Sunday worship service that you may or may not be familiar with, our members gather in small groups (house churches) every Friday evening in our members' apartments or at our Bayside church location. Inviting a stranger into your apartment in NYC may seem like a crazy thing to do but we believe its a way to foster intimacy and serve others.
In the gatherings, we share a meal (usually prepared by a member or potluck style), sing one or two worship songs, and spend 10 minutes discussing a bible passage. The evening usually concludes with a time where our members can share (or not share) what's going on in their lives and pray for one another. You can share as much or as little as you want, so don't worry if you're shy or introverted.
